STAR station · Vista
A STAR-certified smog station.
If your DMV notice says a STAR station is required, you’re at the right place. Vista Smog Center is STAR certified and test-only, so we can inspect and issue the certificate the DMV is asking for.
What STAR means
A higher standard set by the Bureau of Automotive Repair.
The DMV directs a share of vehicles to STAR stations — stations monitored more closely by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and held to higher performance standards. Being selected doesn’t mean anything is wrong with your car; it’s simply where the DMV wants the inspection done.
As a STAR station we can issue a certificate of compliance to vehicles the DMV directs to a STAR station for registration renewal, as well as to ordinary vehicles. And because we’re test-only, you can trust the result — we don’t profit from repairs.
